Description
Pokémon Following Platinum is a ROM hack, based on the Pokémon Platinum Version. It also brings the beloved Walking Pokémon feature from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver to Sinnoh. You can walk side by side with any of the 493 existing Pokémon and interact with them, as you rediscover the landscapes of the mythical Sinnoh. The main story and locations are fundamentally intact, which makes Following Platinum not only ideal for playing Platinum again but also a potential base for other new projects to build upon.
Features
- Your Pokémon Follows You!
As in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, the Walking Pokémon feature allows you to stroll around with your favorite Pokémon throughout the game and interact with it whenever you want. The reactions of your Pokémon will change depending on how strong your link is and where you are, and the traditional HeartGold and SoulSilver emoticons will appear depending on your Pokémon’s mood. This feature, however, may be blocked in some regions (the Underground) or under certain conditions (riding the bike).
- Adapted Game Events
The existence of a Pokémon that constantly follows the player demanded the restoration of all primary game events in all places. Your Pokémon will always be present to keep you company as you go!
- Animated Pokémon In The Overworld
All Pokémon from the original games (Drifloon, Psyduck, Pikachu, etc.) now have animated sprites from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver instead of the conventional static sprite.
- Mechanics Adapted To Sinnoh
Although Pokémon Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver share many aspects, several unique mechanics have been created to completely integrate the Walking Pokémon experience into the game. For example, your Pokémon will slide down a sand slope with you, move with you when watering berries, and interact correctly with the flashlights in Hearthome City Gym.
- Updated Battle Themes
Enjoy an enhanced arrangement of Sinnoh’s Wild Battle and Trainer Battle themes!
- Framerate Unlocking
You will be able to unlock the framerate in order to speed up particular areas of the game. This function allows you to speed up gaming in any situation, not just combat. You can also disable this option if you prefer to play the game at the standard speed.
- Fairy Type
A new download with Fairy type has been added. Every Fairy-type Pokémon from Generations I to IV had their kinds altered to match the latest Pokémon games.
Fairy Type is exclusive to the download that says “Fairy Type version”, next to the normal download button.
